The Journey

Jack and Tana started Colt Express on September 17, 1998. They both held a belief that corporate America put an unreasonable demand on American families and gave little in return. They also felt there was a void in the logistics industry within the Tulsa market and believed they could help fill this void. So in 1998, Colt Express was born and named after the little boy they were expecting in January 1999. The Brassfields had one small truck and really big dreams. They made a promise that if they were ever lucky enough to be someone’s boss they wouldn’t be part of the problem that made them want to leave their jobs in the first place. Fast forward to January 1999…surprise, its a girl!! Yep, Colt was a GIRL but the business cards were printed and the truck was lettered, so "Colt" stuck. The Brassfields welcomed their baby girl, Kiley Raye. 21 years later, Colt Express has grown into 3 cities and over 30 trucks in a thriving industry with no end in sight. The Brassfields are keeping their promises with incentive programs and family oriented activities, they were able to give away 2 Caribbean cruises at the driver appreciation banquet this last year. The future is bright for Colt Express as they continue to add drivers, trucks and locations to meet the needs of customers. And by the way, they finally got their little boy. Jackson Ray was added to the fleet in January 2005.
